With an interesting premise of a pregnant teen finding a Christian family, Martin Hospitality is a good uplifting read.
The Good
- A promising beginning
- An overall good story
- Excellent characters
- Doesn’t shy away from a complicated subject
- Fantastic writing
- Good editing with only a few obvious mistakes found
- Good ending
The Bad
- The middle drags
- I was waiting for something to happen during a solid 100 pages.
The Unsure*
- I believe the middle could have been cut since it distracts from the main focus of the book.
- The cover is nice, but a more powerful image could help draw people to the book.
*My opinion: what I didn’t care for or do not prefer. This will not lower a rating unless it overly distracts from the story.
While I enjoyed Martin Hospitality and the positive message, I found the plot took an unnecessary turn which distracted from the interesting premise of the book.
